Every year, I donate money to the One Tree Planted organization to plant trees through community projects. It’s my way of giving back to our planet through projects that make sense to me.
As a child, I imagined buying land and planting trees to create primary forests. I hated forests with trees planted equidistantly. I wanted to create kingdoms for animals. As an adult, I can’t afford to buy large tracts of virgin land, but I can contribute to projects that make sense.
I chose One Tree Planted for their transparent budget management and the fact that they rely on volunteers in the impacted communities. More of my money goes to planting trees. More trees means more life!
This year, I wanted to contribute to projects in Africa.
